Keratin tip hair extensions are the gold standard for professional salons. Unlike tape or weft methods, keratin tips are applied strand-by-strand using a hot fusion technique — the keratin bond melts and fuses with natural hair. At Yahui Hair, we produce three keratin tip types: I-Tip, U-Tip, and Flat Tip.
I-Tip (also called stick tip) extensions have a cylindrical keratin bond shaped like the letter "I". They are installed using micro beads or rings — no heat required. This makes them a popular cold fusion alternative for clients who prefer no heat near their scalp.
U-Tip (nail tip) extensions have a flat, nail-shaped keratin bond. They require hot fusion — a heating tool melts the keratin to fuse with natural hair. The flat shape creates a strong bond and a seamless blend.
Flat Tip extensions have a wider, flatter keratin bond for an even larger adhesive surface area. The increased contact surface means a stronger bond — ideal for thick hair and long-lasting fusion applications.
