One of the biggest challenges for wholesale hair extension buyers is color matching. Our color chart spans 38 shades from natural black (#1) to platinum blonde (#60). This guide helps you understand the numbering system, choose the right colors for your market, and avoid costly mismatches.
Color Number System Explained
Hair extension colors follow a standard numbering system:
- #1 — Jet Black: Deepest black, natural Asian hair color
- #1B — Natural Black: Off-black, softer than #1
- #2 — Dark Brown: Rich dark brown
- #4 — Medium Brown: Everyday brown shade
- #6 — Light Brown: Warmer, lighter brown
- #8–#14 — Medium to Light Brown/Blonde: Transition shades
- #16–#27 — Blonde Range: Honey blonde to ash blonde
- #30–#33 — Light Blonde: Platinum and icy tones
- #60 — Platinum Blonde: Lightest shade
- #99J — Burgundy: Deep red wine color
- #613 — Bleach Blonde: Very light ashy blonde
- Grey: Natural grey/silver tone
Dark Colors (#1-6) vs Light Colors (#7+)
There is a pricing difference between dark and light colors:
- Dark Colors (#1-6): Standard wholesale pricing. These are the most common colors and always in stock.
- Light Colors (#7+): Slight premium pricing. Light/bleached hair requires more processing and careful quality control.
