Genius Weft vs Machine Weft — Which Weft Type Is Right for Your Salon?

Published July 22, 2026 · Yahui Hair Factory

Weft hair extensions are the backbone of professional salon services. At Yahui Hair, we produce two distinct weft types: the ultra-thin Genius Weft (hand-tied) and the durable Machine Weft (machine-sewn). Both use 100% Remy human hair but serve different client needs.

What Is Genius Weft?

Genius Weft (hand-tied weft) is crafted by skilled artisans who tie individual hair strands onto a thin, flexible thread. The result is an ultra-thin weft (~1mm) that lays flat against the scalp — virtually invisible. It is our #1 bestselling product.

What Is Machine Weft?

Machine Weft is produced on industrial sewing machines that stitch hair onto a reinforced seam. The weft is thicker (3–5mm) but significantly more durable. It is the most economical weft option for high-volume salons.
